There are many people who day dream! They see themselves in larger-than-life scenarios doing stuff that they would hardly ever dare to do in real life.

Most of such people stay alone either for work or study in a big city away from the comfort of their homes and love of their families. They chase their dreams, which are always eluding them. However, these people are optimists, they are hopeful people. They believe that good things will happen and bail them out of their misery. Probably they are right.

Day dreams are good upto a certain extent. They literally show you 'fantastic' situations and thrust you to do more to experience them in reality. Unfortunately, dreamers are often found to be losers! A very minuscule percentage of these people are the so called “doers”.

What could be the reason behind this? What makes most of the dreamers’ losers?

One definite reason for this is apparently because they are loners. They dream, which is good, but they lack the support system and backing which staying with your family provides. So, the end result is that they lack the focus and support and end up being losers in the game.

What about the minute percentage of people who are dreamers and who succeed?

We cannot deny the power of imagination. Every man-made article we see or use is a work of creative intelligence. Imagination and dreams have taken mankind many leaps forward and made life comfortable.
From the accomplishments in Science to the success in Arts, everything stemmed out of minds of dreamers. But we see their dreams in action owing to their capability to convert their dreams into reality. When asked about the secret potion believing on action rather than dreams alone, they believe that it is because of their loneliness! Being alone helps them to focus more and staying away from the family makes them realize the importance of companionship. Nevertheless, they feel bad about the situation and find other ways of mitigating their woes, while hoping for the best.

One of my friends who live downtown stays alone in this city and is working on completing his Doctoral degree. When asked what makes him happy in festival days such as this when he is away from home.

“An online cake delivery in Pakistan would definitely bring smiles to my dear ones at home,” he says. “They would feel the warmth of my love and have a good time.”

He is correct and this signals the love and respect he has towards his family. It speaks high of his level of commitment and dedication towards his work that has made him stay put in his place of study even during the festival time. The focus and dedication has made him stay and continue with his research even at the expense of missing Eid with his family and friends.

Summing up the case of dreamers and doers, we can safely conclude that dreamers who strive to focus on their dreams and work towards realizing them are the ones who become doers.
