On Valentine’s Day, lovers present a rose bunch to each other to express their love, and people across the world express their admiration, liking or respect for some person in their own special ways. In some countries, the lovers are in a huge dilemma. They are nervous because, first they are not too sure about how their counterpart will react to their “I love you” admission or confession. They are not sure if the other person too has similar romantic feelings of the same intensity for them. And they are also nervous, fearing that some moral police activists of some parties or groups or organizations will pounce upon them the moment they begin to offer the roses to their sweetheart.

Love mightier than other forces
But perhaps, love is mightier than all such negative forces. Lovers continue to offer roses to the person of their choice, even at the risk of being the recipient of some blows and bruises. The moral police seem to be slightly on the defensive now and inclined to let the lovers be rather than act spoilsport in passionate and youthful love stories. So, the lovers can not only exchange a few roses, but also go ahead with gifts of chocolates and sweet nothings or proceed for a quiet lunch or dinner together. And they can bind themselves in all the loving promises they can make.

Rekindle sweet memories

But romantic first love alone does not appropriate the Valentine’s Day complete. Already couples can revive their happy-sweet memories of that beautiful period and re-experience the thrill, the anxiety and the tenderness. And they can make it a point to have an elaborate celebration to bridge over any passing battling points between the two.

Express appreciation in words
All others can make clear their appreciation of some person they sincerely admire to that person by saying it out loud in so many words and adding some sort of a ceremonial touch to the episode. People, in general, believe that their appreciation should be understood by the person concerned without their uttering a word about it. They feel that they must not give words to such feeling. Many people genuinely believe that trying to put such reverence in words is a sort of a sacrilege.  They don’t know that they are mistaken. All admiration must be made reasonably clear. It must not be raised to the level of worship but a simple expression like “I liked that act or idea of yours” can elevate the relationships to a new and more intense level. It becomes much more satisfying for both.

Do something tangible
On Valentine’s Day, let everyone be more appreciative of the qualities of others and do something tangible to show the feeling. This could always be through token gifts like books, cards, special dishes prepared by them, or by spending some quality time together and having heart to heart chats over a lunch or dinner.
These are some ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Through online shopping, anyone can send Valentine’s Day gifts to Pakistan easily and turn the occasion into a memorable day for both.
